The philosophy behind the wine:

The philosophy of the Mas Ventenac is to showcase the very best of our terroir and know-how. The grape bunches are harvested from rigorously selected rows in the vineyard. The low yields, the unique blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah, and the ageing for 12 months in 225L and 600L oak barrels bring forth all the aromatic intensity, the elegance, the balance and the complexity of this exceptional wine.


Grape Varieties: Cabernet Franc (30%), Merlot (30%), Syrah (40%)
Vineyards: Calcareous soils - « Les aliziés », « Calbet Bas », «Cantaoussel » - Density: 6500 vines / Ha
Harvest: Yields: 35 Hl / ha - Sorting - Fully crushed
Vinification: 80 Hl tanks - Pre-fermentary cold maceration for 5 days at 6°C - Yeast addition - Fermentation at 25°C - Daily pump-overs + punch downs - Vatting length : 45 to 50 days - Malolactic fermentation - Racking - No filtration
Ageing: 12 months in 225L, 300L and 600L new french oak barrels - 12 months in bottle
